File a Police or Crash Report

To file a police or crash report, or inform the Department of any type of incident, you must meet with an officer.  This can be done any day of the week at anytime, either at the Department or at a location within Barrington Hills, such as your home.

Have an Officer Dispatched to Your Location

  • Call the dispatch center (QuadCom) at 847-428-8784.  After obtaining basic information (the nature of the call, your name, and a callback number), the telecommunicator will dispatch a patrol officer to assist you.

Meet with an Officer at the Department

  • During business hours: Enter the outer lobby,  then proceed down into the Department and speak with a member of the Records Department.  After obtaining basic information regarding your needs, the Records staff member will contact the dispatch center and have an available officer dispatched to meet with you.
  • Outside of business hours: After entering the outer lobby, you will see a black direct-dial phone.  Pick up the receiver and you will automatically be connected to the dispatch center.  After obtaining basic information, the telecommunicator will dispatch an officer to the Department to meet with you.
